| In
2004-2006,
the
Conrad
Hilton
Foundantion
funded
a study
that
found
that
57%
of social
service
recipients
still
did
not
have
enough
resources
to provide
adequate
nutrition
for
themselves
and
their
families.
As a
result,
Eric
Hilton
founded
the
Three
Square
Organization,
collaborating
with
casinos,
restaurants,
grocery
stores,
and
other
businesses
in the
valley
to combat
the
problem
and
help
to ensure
that
every
family
is able
to eat
three
square
meals
per
day.
Through
grants,
and
donations,
Three
Square
is able
to provide
bulk
groceries
to local
non-profit
and
faith-based
food
banks
at a
cost
of only nine
cents
per
pound!
Not
just
non-perishables,
but
also
meats,
produce,
breads
and
even
snacks.
If
your
church
or non-profit
organization
is interested
in opening
a food
bank,
please
download
an application
form,
fill
it out
and
send
it in.
Or contact
Sarah Borron, Program Manager, 702-644-3663.
